By now, you’ve probably seen photos and footage of the devastating floods that are sweeping through Colorado. Our thoughts are with all of those that have been affected. Cuasing seemingly-countless acts of destruction, the beautiful town of Lyons, CO is nearly completely submerged under fast moving-water. Tomorrow night, the same night we’re playing Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver, our friends Town Mountain were set to play the stages at Planet Bluegrass, which has also fallen victim to the floods. We and Cervantes have invited the band to come to Denver to play an evening of music with us in the adjoining music hall, Cervantes’ Other Side. Coral Creek String Band will still be pickin’ in the Other Side, too!
Tickets (regardless of when they’re purchased) will include admission to both Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom and the Other Side. Additionally, $2 from every ticket will go to Lyons, CO relief! Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 day of the show. That means at midnight Mountain Time tonight, the ticket price goes up to $30—so get it while you can and help us donate relief to the Planet Bluegrass ranch!
This summer you’ll find the ‘Dusters in the mountains and by the sea.
We’re excited to announce our 2013 American Rivers Tour. In August we’ll be traversing the Rockies to play shows in many of the great river towns of the Mountain West. We’ll start at the Depot in Salt Lake City and move through Colorado, Washington, Idaho, and Montana before finishing at the Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival in Wyoming. Highlights include a two-night run at the State Bridge in Bond, CO. The entire run will celebrate the 40th anniversary of American Rivers, a non-profit organization working to protect and restore the nation’s rivers and streams.
But before we head to the mountains, though, you can catch us at the beach. Our six-show Atlantic Beach Tour moves up the Eastern Seaboard from Charleston to Asbury Park in July.
