      Hey Folks,

      I don’t know about you, but I am already so excited to head back down to VA for some epic Festy Experience goodness.

      A couple weeks ago I had the chance to talk to the guys from The Deadly Gentlemen (including Dominick Leslie who played mando along with the Dusters last year). I inquired about the possibility of them playing this years Festy which got me hoping and thinking about all the awesome bands and artists I would like to see this year.

      Here is my initial list of must haves (some of whom were there last year or the year before, some I have seen opening for the Dusters at other shows, and some are just favorites of mine):

      -The Deadly Gentlemen
      -The Two Man Gentleman Band
      -Love Canon
      -David Grisman
      -Wes Swing
      -No BS Brass Band
      -Trampled By Turtles
      -The Hillbenders
      -The Dixie Bee-Liners
      -That 1 Guy
      -The Avett Brothers

      I’m sure I’ll think of more…

      Who does everyone else want to see??

      Continuing their legends at The Festy series (after Tony and David), maybe they need a New Grass Revival. (Sam, Bela, John and Pat) Well, it is a wish list.

      Did you see Sarah last Saturday on Austin City Limits? I don’t think she did her best stuff but she was very good. I particularly enjoy “Runaway” and “Come Around” by her.

      No I missed it. I’ll have to check it out. She’s very talented. I’ve seen her around since she was 15 or so just pickin around festivals (Greyfox is the first time I specifically remember seeing her.)

      Others to add to the list:

      Punch Brothers
      Crooked Still

      Or really any combination of people from those bands since Crooked Still is currently on a break (Chris Thile, Noam Pikelny, and Aoife O’Donovan have been playing together a lot… ;-)

      No one else has any huge wishes for this years Festy? It’ll be great regardless… lets hear some more ideas!
